The following step describe how to install apps directly from the google drive, bypassing the google play store
- Open the google drive link and download the file on to your phone
- Open the downloaded file.
- Important: Your must enable app installs from unknown sources, Here is how you do it
- Android version 8 & higher: You will see a pop up during installation asking for permission.
- Tap on settings
- Change the switch next to “Allow from this source”
- Hit the back button and you can continue installation
- If the installation does not restart. Reopen the downloaded file
- Android version 7 & lower:
- Open settings
- Tap on security inside settings
- Find “Unknown source” and enable it
- If you cannot find “Unknown source” in your device search for it in the settings menu.
- Reopen the downloaded file
- Android version 8 & higher: You will see a pop up during installation asking for permission.
